Last month, I gave a presentation at the CapitalONE Cafe in Center City, Philadelphia. It was a success. I got to meet a ton of people from various industries including finance, energy, event-planning, and more.
I talked about the ladder of thought leadership and what that really means.
Everyone knows someone who is: constantly in the news, getting quoted for expertise, and even having entire articles published in major magazines and publications. Even if your not famous for all the silly things people are famous for these days, it's possible to get there, especially in todays social world. The social platform really lowers the barrier to get into those 'exclusive' expert clubs. That being said, you have to know what your doing, and have a plan to get there.
In either case, it was a fantastically collaborative conversation and presentation and I was happy that a majority of people left with a key takeaway that anyone could be a thought leader no matter what industry and role they were in. Check out the pictures!
